Some follow their dream of becoming an engineer, doctor, lawyer, teacher while others go for their passion. Youth these days have a thumping passion for music. Some become performance majors and look for their niche in playing with orchestra, bands or forming their own group. They may also teach lessons on their instrument to increase their income. Graduating with a music degree does not mean there are few opportunities when it comes to building your career.There are career opportunities such as music teachers, music producers, music composers, musicians, songwriters, audio engineers, audio editors and sound technicians. However, graduating with a music degree does not mean you are viable to get jobs in music industry. You have to prove yourself in this competitive world.

People dream of becoming a musician. Some carry natural talent while others have to hard work to master the techniques. A musician is someone who can not only play, but understand, write, perform and feel music.  A musician’s job is not very challenging but not that simple too. It requires commitment, constant practice and inspiration. To become a musician first buy a instrument like a guitar, a piano, drum set or any other of your choice, Secondly learn music theory, though it is quite boring but it is  an important part for playing as well as composing music. Thirdly learn to read music. Learn all the notes and practice a lot. Its easy for those who can play by ear but one knows how to read music on sheets. You will improve quickly and fairly soon. You will feel way less bored learning scales and chords.The fifth part is to lay with other people. It will give you experience and make you more confident. Lastly just enjoy.

Now when you are ready as a musician, the question that beats your mind is where to find musicians. Internet is the best way to find musician. Some websites are filled with ads from people looking for band to join in. Some need good singers and music players. You can also look for studios and rehearsals spaces in your area and let people know you are looking for musicians. Put posters or stick advertisements in your citywhere you think likeminded musician visit frequently like coffee shops, college campus, and clubs. Be clear about your expectations of a band member. Interested musicians will definitely give you a chance in accordance to what you deserve. So, why not choose music as your career.
